Four days of off-road tracks, experienced during our trip on April 19, 2024

“Adventure begins where the pavement ends”
From the High Atlas to the vast Saharan plains, this 4x4 itinerary, completed on April 19, 2024 with our clients, captures the very essence of southern Morocco. Designed as a guided adventure, it allowed participants to experience the desert in a different way: by understanding the terrain, learning how to navigate it, and enjoying carefully selected locations, without having to deal with the complexity of such a journey.
DAY 1 Marrakech → Aït Ben Haddou :
The Thrill of the Atlas
MARRAKECH
TELOUET
AÏT BEN HADDOU
ADGZ
Leaving Marrakech already feels like stepping into the adventure.
Very quickly, the road begins to climb and the Atlas sets the pace. The landscapes change, the air grows cooler, and the first mountain ridges signal the transition from the urban world to wilder territories.
As we ascend, Jérôme shares anecdotes, geographical insights, and cultural context that add a new dimension to the journey. This first day lays the foundations of the trip: taking time to understand the regions we pass through while steadily heading south. The stops are never random : they are an integral part of the experience.

TELOUET KASBAH
Perched at 1,870 meters in the High Atlas Mountains, the Telouet Kasbah is a stop steeped in history. Exploring it takes on a whole new meaning when placed in the context of the ancient caravan routes and local dynasties.
👉 Guided support here provides valuable insights into the history and architecture of southern Morocco.
Appetites start to wake up…
drawn by the aromas of steaming tagines, freshly baked bread, and fragrant mint tea. We stop at a traditional inn to savor the local specialties.
AÏT BEN HADDOU
Aït Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is an unmissable stop. But beyond its spectacular appearance, it is a perfect example of earthen architecture and the organization of ancient ksour.
👉 Included in our 4x4 itinerary, the visit is stress-free, at a relaxed pace, allowing for a full appreciation of the site without any logistical pressure.

AGDZ & NIGHT AT AN ECOLODGE
The day ends at the gateway to the Draa Valley, a long ribbon of palm trees and earthen kasbahs stretching toward the desert. We arrive at our carefully selected ecolodge in Bab-el-Oued, nestled in the small oasis town of Agdz.
Agdz is no ordinary stop: it is a gateway, a threshold between the mountains and the Sahara, a place once crossed by caravans, still retaining its authentic character today.

DAY 2 Agdz → M'Hamid : First dunes, first emotions
ADGZ
VALLÉE DU DRÂA
M'HAMID EL GHIZLANE
At sunrise,
the scent of msemens and warm honey teases the senses, waking even the heaviest sleepers. This stage marks a major transition: vegetation becomes sparse, the terrain softens, and the desert begins to take over. It’s no longer just a road : it’s a whole territory.
Guided support becomes essential here: reading the terrain, choosing the right tracks, managing distances and pace, elements that are hard to anticipate without an intimate knowledge of southern Morocco.

DRÂA VALLEY
We cross the Draa Valley, one of the most beautiful oases in southern Morocco, stretching over 200 kilometers. Lined with centuries-old palm trees, date palms, and pomegranate trees, and dotted with small earthen villages, it unfolds its colors and scents.
This journey offers the opportunity to discover the oases and their essential role in local history and daily life.
Then, suddenly… the dunes appear.
Vast, golden, ever-shifting. Impossible to remain indifferent. Cameras start clicking at the sight of the first wild dromedaries walking along the track. The journey continues to our bivouac, nestled in the heart of the dunes.
ERG CHIGAGA
Arriving at Erg Chegaga marks the entry into a wilder Sahara, far from the usual routes, it’s always a memorable moment. Jérôme knows these dunes inside out: their access points, hidden traps, and natural lines.
Here, it becomes clear why the desert cannot be improvised.
The night is spent in a bivouac, at the heart of the dunes, in an atmosphere that is simple, warm, and profoundly disorienting, accompanied by Sahrawi music and an ocean of stars above our heads.
DAY 3 M’Hamid → Foum Zguid: The desert in all its grandeur
M'HAMID
DUNES ERG CHIGAGA
DUNES DRIVING
LAC IRIKI
FOUM ZGUID
At dawn, eyes open and finally take in the surrounding landscape.
This day lies at the heart of Allmoov’s DNA. With 19 Paris-Dakar rallies under his belt, Jérôme shares a practical and approachable vision of the desert, neither overprotected nor trivialized.
DUNE DRIVING ADVENTURE!
A highlight of the trip, the dune driving initiation allows participants to learn the basics of driving on sand. Under Jérôme’s guidance, they discover:
• how to read a dune,
• how to adjust their trajectory,
• how to manage traction on sand,
• and how to understand the behavior of a 4x4 in the desert.
A moment of pure adrenaline, blending nature and thrilling sensations.
DUNES, LAKE & TAMARISK…
The journey continues through dunes, rocky areas, and more technical sections. Jérôme adjusts trajectories, selects the best paths, and shares his hard-earned experience of the Saharan desert.
It’s these unseen decisions that make the experience smooth, intense, and safe, even in remote areas like Lake Iriki.
At lunchtime, a generous Berber picnic awaits our adventurers in the shade of the tamarisk trees.
The day ends in Foum Zguid, at accommodation carefully selected to allow proper rest after the intensity of the desert.
DAY 4 Foum Zguid → Marrakech : Final moments, lasting memories
FOUM ZGUID
TAZENAKHT
CARPET COOPERATIVE
TISSELDAY
The return to Marrakech unfolds gradually, marked by encounters and cultural discoveries that extend the experience beyond the desert.
TAZENAKHT & BERBER RUGS
On this final day, an unexpected visit awaits us: a Berber rug cooperative in Tazenakht, run entirely by women. This visit offers a chance to discover an ancestral craft, passed down through generations.
Meeting the artisans provides an authentic insight into local culture, far from standardized tourist routes.
Such exchanges are made possible by a strong local network and a respectful approach to tourism.

FINAL MOMENTS, LASTING MEMORIES
A final moment of sharing around a Moroccan table, in a guesthouse chosen for its warm hospitality and cuisine. A gentle, convivial way to conclude the adventure: sharing and togetherness before returning to Marrakech.
The landscapes pass by slowly, and everyone reflects on the highlights of these four days: the magic of Aït Ben Haddou, the silence of the desert, the vastness of the dunes, and that rare feeling of having lived a unique adventure, together.
They lived it!
